Partner program
Partner program terms
Version 2026-10-21. Plain English on purpose. When you tick the box to join, you agree to these.
These terms are between you and Custom Trade Workflows, LLC (“CTW”, “we”, “us”). They cover the CTW partner program: sending trades businesses to us and being paid a share when they become clients.
1. Joining
- Joining is free. You must be 18 or older, with a US address and a US tax ID.
- You can’t refer your own business, a business you own part of, or yourself.
- We may decline anyone, and we may close an account that breaks these terms.
- Joining doesn’t make you our employee, agent or representative. You’re an independent partner, you set your own hours and methods, and you can’t make promises or sign anything on our behalf.
- You follow your own professional rules. Some, for example those for CPAs and for licensed insurance producers, limit or ban referral fees in some cases. If yours do, tell us: you can be a partner without a fee, and we’ll treat the people you send just the same.
2. Your link, and when a referral counts
- You get a code, and a link that carries it. You may point it at any of our pages.
- A business counts as your referral when it first comes to us through your link and becomes a client within 90 days, or when you introduce it to us by email with us copied in.
- It doesn’t count if, before your link or introduction, the business was already our client or already in talks with us (it had replied to us, sent us a request or spoken with us). Receiving our marketing emails alone isn’t being in talks.
- If two partners send the same business, the most recent link or introduction before it came to us counts.
- Our records decide whether a referral counts. Your dashboard shows you what we see, and if you think we’ve missed one, tell us within 90 days and we’ll look into it.
3. What you earn
- You earn 25% of every dollar the client pays us, for as long as they stay a client. “What the client pays us” means fees the client actually pays us, not counting sales tax, refunds or chargebacks.
- A share is earned when the client has paid us, not before.
- If we refund a client, or a payment is reversed, the matching share comes off your next payment.
- We may agree a different rate with you in writing. Any change to the program rate applies only to client payments made after the change.
4. Getting paid
- We pay by the 15th of each month, for shares earned the month before, once you’re owed $50 or more. Smaller amounts roll over to the next month.
- We pay by bank transfer or check, to the account or address you give us.
- Before your first payment we need a completed IRS Form W-9. We’ll ask for it when you earn your first share.
- You’re responsible for your own taxes. Where the law requires it, we send you a Form 1099-NEC (for payments made in 2026, generally when we pay you $2,000 or more in the year). If you don’t give us a correct taxpayer ID, the law may require us to hold back 24% of a payment (backup withholding) and send it to the IRS.
- Your dashboard shows every share earned and every payment made. If something looks wrong, tell us within 90 days of the payment.
- If we see signs of fraud or of a break of these terms, we may hold payments while we look into it.
5. How you promote us
- Say that we pay you. In every message, post, video or conversation where you recommend us, say clearly that we pay you if someone becomes a client: near the start, and again close to your link. For example: “Custom Trade Workflows pays me if you become a client.” Saying “affiliate link” on its own isn’t enough, and a disclosure only at the very end, in a list of hashtags or behind a “more” link isn’t either. In a video, say it out loud as well as in the caption. This is what the US Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement rules ask for.
- Only say what’s true, and only what we promise. Only make claims that appear in our current pages or the marketing kit. Don’t promise savings, time, income, prices or results. Don’t say you’ve used us unless you have.
- Email the right way. Because we pay you, the law (the US CAN-SPAM Act) treats us as a sender of your emails about us. So: email only people you know, your own clients, or people who asked to hear from you; never use bought, rented or scraped lists; use our emails without changing the subject line, the disclosure or the footer lines the kit adds (that it’s a paid recommendation, our postal address and how to opt out); before you email more than one person about us, send us the list and we’ll tell you who to take off it; and forward any “stop” or unsubscribe request to us within 2 business days. If you mention us in your own newsletter alongside your own services, you’re that email’s sender: use your own opt-out and postal address, and still check the list with us first.
- Texts and calls. Only one-to-one texts you type yourself, from your own phone, to people you know, between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. their time. No texting services, autodialers, prerecorded messages, cold calls or cold texts. Stop at once if anyone asks. We don’t pay on a referral that came from a text or call that breaks this rule.
- Your own profession’s rules. If you sell insurance or bonds, never tie us to buying, renewing or moving a policy. If you prepare tax returns, don’t use your tax clients’ information to tell them about us unless you have the signed consent federal law requires (Internal Revenue Code section 7216). Don’t send us any client’s personal, financial or tax details without their OK.
- No ads on our name. Don’t bid on “Custom Trade Workflows” or our offer names in search ads, and don’t register names, pages or accounts that look like ours.
- No tricks. No fake reviews, no paying or rewarding people to click, no hidden links, no pretending to be us.
- Follow the rules of each place you post: each network’s terms and each group’s rules.
- Work with us on this. The law expects us to check how partners promote us. Tell us where you post about us, keep copies of the emails and texts you send about us for 12 months, and if we ask you to fix or take down something, do it within 48 hours. Videos, podcasts and webinars about us need a quick look from us before they go out.
6. Our name and the marketing kit
- We give you permission to use our name, logo, images and the words in the marketing kit, only to promote this program, while you’re a partner.
- You may shorten them or put them in your own words, as long as the meaning stays true and the rules above are kept. You may not change our logo.
- That permission ends when your partnership ends.
7. Privacy and your dashboard
- We show you counts of visits and forms from your link, which referrals became clients, and what they paid us, so you can check your shares.
- We keep the details of a client’s business private unless the client says we may share them.
- Your dashboard link is private to you. Don’t share it. If you think someone else has it, tell us and we’ll change it.
- We use your details only to run the program and pay you.
8. Ending
- You can leave at any time by emailing us. We can end your partnership at any time by emailing you.
- If you leave, or we end it for any reason other than a break of these terms, you keep earning your share on clients who came through you before the end date, for as long as they stay clients.
- If we end it because you broke these terms (for example spam, misleading claims, missing disclosures or fraud), shares tied to the break aren’t paid, and future shares stop.
9. Changes to the program
- We may change the program or these terms. We’ll tell you by email and on your dashboard at least 30 days before a change takes effect.
- A change never reduces a share you’ve already earned. If you don’t accept a change, you can leave before it takes effect, and section 8 applies.
10. The legal part
- We provide the program as it is. We don’t promise any amount of referrals or earnings.
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or lost-profit damages. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the shares we’ve paid you in the 12 months before a claim.
- You’re responsible for how you promote us, and you agree to cover our losses if a claim is brought against us because you broke these terms or the law.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, like our other terms. Before anything formal, we’ll both try to settle a disagreement by talking it through.
- If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still stands. These terms are the whole agreement about the program, along with anything we agree with you in writing.
