Live Job Cost — ask your job data a question, get a real answer

What we do

One thing, done properly — and the work that makes it possible

Our focus is getting straight answers out of the data you already have. Everything below either is that, or is what has to be true for it to work.

The main event

Live Job Cost

A reporting assistant that lives inside your Microsoft 365. Someone asks a question in plain English; it answers.

Plain-English questions

No query builder, no filter panel, no training session. If you can say it, you can ask it.

Entity-aware answers

People, vendors, clients, jobs and statuses each have a consistent, complete profile. Ask about any of them by name.

Reports in both formats

An interactive page that prints clean to one sheet, and a structured Excel file. Every time, both.

Answers where people are

Inline on a company page, or as a link back into a message thread that opens the same report.

Getting there

The work around it

Most businesses aren't one step away from this. The gap is usually the data, and closing that gap is most of what we actually do.

Making sense of what you've got

Your data is spread across an accounting system, a job management tool, a shared drive and a stack of spreadsheets. We work out what's actually in there, what's trustworthy, and what it would take to answer real questions from it.

Excel and workbook automation

The workbook someone rebuilds by hand every week. We automate the rebuilding, so the file that everything depends on stops depending on one person remembering to update it.

Power Platform and Office Scripts

The routine handoffs between systems — the copy-paste, the re-keying, the "then I email it to accounting." Built on the Microsoft tooling you already pay for, not another subscription.

Working with what you already run

We don't ask you to leave your accounting system or your field software. Those stay. We work with what they hold.

Teaching it your vocabulary

Every trade names things differently. What the system understands about your world lives in one readable file — so refining it is an edit, not a rebuild.

Handover you can actually use

Written walkthroughs, in plain language, aimed at whoever has to run this after we've gone. If your team can't operate it without us, we've built the wrong thing.

How we work

What it looks like

  1. 1

    We look at your data

Where it lives, what shape it's in, and whether the questions you want to ask can actually be answered from it. This is where we tell you no if the answer is no.

  2. 2

    We agree the questions

The specific things your team needs to know. Not a feature list — the actual questions people ask each other now.

  3. 3

    We build and tune

We teach it your vocabulary and your data, then test it against questions you already know the answers to, so you can check its working.

  4. 4

    Your team uses it

They sign in with the Microsoft account they already have. Nothing new to learn, because it's a chat box.

Start with the honest question

Can we reach your data? Tell us where it lives — it takes two minutes, and if the answer is no, we'd rather both know now.
